Class descriptions are as follows:
Puppy Socialization
Ages are 12weeks through 6 months. Socialization and training is tailored to the young dog. This is an excellent opportunity for puppies to learn skills and become an important and well behaved member of the family. Basic grooming, health and puppy care information is also covered.
Beginning Obedience
Age is 6 months and over. Basic obedience and manners class. Behaviors covered include walking on leash (heeling), sit-stay, down-stay, stand-stay and come when called etc. The primary focus is teaching the dog to have self-control in the presence of distractions. No previous experience required.
Advanced Obedience
Completion of Beginning Obedience or equivalent is required. In this class, we expand upon the skills learned in the Beginning class. Exercises include heeling on and off-leash, longer distance recalls (off-leash), longer stays with more distractions, faster sits and downs, etc.
Drop-in option is available for dogs who have completed an entire Advanced class. Please contact us for space availability.
Rally Introduction
Rally is an AKC companion sport where the dog and handler team must perform specific skills at numbered stations. All of the AKC rally signs will be covered. Completion of Advanced Obedience or equivalent is required.
